My first impression review of BurstNET

I have seen a lot of bad reviews of BurstNET at WHT, so I was not sure if I wanted to try them. They also had the highest price between the three companies. But they are active on WHT, and they had a 10% offer, so I decided to give them a try.

I got a 1 GB, 50 GB HDD, 1000 GB BW XEN based VPS. And after some testing I found out that they had the best speed of all three to Norway. So I made this my main VPS. My VPS uses the Manchester, UK DC.

When I first ordered I ordered an OpenVZ plan, but ordered a Xen plan right after. I opened a ticket asking for a refund (or not a refund, but an account credit) for the first VPS. First they replied back telling me that they did not offer refunds, but when they realized that I only wanted an account credit, they fixed that. So that was a good thing.

I have tested their support ticket response time twice now, and they do not reply very fast. I took 1 hour and 50 minutes on their best ticket. Today I got a big issue with their network. I had a 60-100% package loss, and my monitoring service reported the VPS as down. But it was not the server, for when I got access, it was up and running, and had almost no load on it.

But still, for several hours the network was unstable. Opened an urgent ticket, but it took 3 hour and 52 minutes before they replied. BurstNET is not completely unmanaged. They offer a Basic Managed option for all their plans. And of course, network and hardware is always covered also by unmanaged hosts.

After more than 5 hours, they had still not solved the problem, and I did not want to use any more time on them, and canceled my VPS. So my time with BurstNET was over after 6 days.

My first impression of BurstNET is not very good, only had them for a week when I got the big network issue, and they have very slow support. Did cancel my VPS.
